CIC History

In July of 2010, a group of volunteers from six churches within the New Brunswick Classis came together to discuss the desire of each church to reach out to and help its community in a meaningful way, but needed help to do it. On that summer day, the Classis New Brunswick Community Development Corporation (CDC) was formed, so that every church would have a support system in place which would allow them to carry out missions of justice and mercy to those in need.

In 2014, the organization started to use the name Churches Improving Communities (CIC) to better represent the mission of the organization.
