Agape House has received great news from Trinity Reformed Church in North Plainfield! Trinity provided a grant of $15,000 to satisfy the matching requirement of a grant that the Synod Foundation awarded to Agape House.

Synod Foundation, an organization of the Reformed Church in America and specifically of the Synod of the Mid-Atlantics (one of the 8 regional synods in the USA), awarded a grant of $30,000 to Agape House to operate its Summer Youth Enrichment Ministry, on condition that Agape House would raise an additional $15,000 as a 2:1 match. Through the amazing generosity of Trinity Reformed Church, Agape House could accept the grant and now has $45,000 towards its budget goal for 3-year operation of its summer character development program for school-age neighborhood children.

Over the past months, members of Trinity Reformed Church became involved in an after-school initiative run by Agape House, volunteering as academic counselors. The two congregations share space, a situation that has allowed seeds of the spirit to flower in both faith communities.
